Introduction
The hotel is located in a tranquil setting in the vibrant resort of Bournemouth , rich in amenities and full of style. We have 77 rooms offering double, twin, single or family rooms.
The Durley Hall caters for leisure, corporate and conference guests, and enjoys an excellent reputation for functions, events, weddings, banquets and seasonal parties.
We aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our guests and encourage this through our culture and detailed staff training. We look forward to welcoming you to The Durley Hall Hotel and Spa and making your stay an enjoyable one.
We offer the following services and facilities:
Pre-Arrival
● For assistance prior to arrival please contact the reception team on 01202 751000.
● The centre of town is a 10-minute walk as is the beach and pier.
● A bus service is available from the central train station to the town centre, there is a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel or there are buses from the town centre up to the roundabout nearby to the hotel.
● There is a local taxi company, who we recommend, please see contact information below.
● You can contact the hotel by phone, email, fax or in person. The hotel is open 24 hours although response e.g emails, may be reduced from 11pm to 6am.
● We have a list of local equipment hirers that is available on request.
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
● All guests should use the main entrance of the hotel located on Durley Chine Road. There are no steps and the ground is paved.
● The main entrance has an automatic sliding door.
● There is a one-way drop off zone situated directly outside the main entrance; this is for dropping off and picking up, unloading of luggage and also for disabled parking. Cars must not be left unattended.
● We have 2 large car parks, one of which is situated in Marlborough road. The other car park is situated to the left of the main entrance. Both of which are on ground level and have no steps.
● There are approximately 120 car parking spaces and both car parks are complimentary.
● If you require assistance with luggage, equipment or guidance, our team of porters are on duty 24 hours a day.
Main Entrance and Reception
● There are no steps in the main reception area.
● If you have parked in either of our car parks, reception is clearly signposted.
● The front desk is situated on the right hand side as you come in the main entrance.
● Porters are available from reception.
● There are a number of sitting areas situated on the ground floor and reception area.
● The reception desk is 100cm high. Registration can be completed whilst sitting in the reception area where tables are available.
● To the right of reception is our lift to 3 floors of the main building for bedrooms.
● Also to the right of reception is our main restaurant, which also leads to 3 of our function rooms and 4 of our bedrooms. Also to the right of reception are the stairs leading down to the health spa.
● Opposite reception is our main bar and coffee shop.
● There are no steps to our main restaurant, bar and coffee shop.
● Familiarisation tours can be given where required.
Public Areas – General (Internal)
● The public telephone is situated to the right of the main entrance.
● The main hotel lift has buttons at standard height.
● There are mirrors on 2 sides of the lift on the top halves and one side has an advertisement board. The lower halves have fabric with designs on.
● There is a conservatory area, which overlooks our main swimming pool and has wicker seating areas. There is also ceramic tiled under-floor heating.
Public Areas – WC
● There are 3 sets of public toilets, one in the main reception area, one in our Canford suite and one in our Marlborough suite.
● We have a disabled toilet situated in the main reception, which also has baby changing facilities.
● The disabled toilet provides:
● Floor is non-slip laminate
● There are vertical rails either side of the toilet and also on the back of the door.
● There is a horizontal and vertical rail behind the toilet.
Restaurant/Dining Room, Bar and Lounge & Le Café Boulevard
● Nearest toilets to the café, bar and restaurant below is in the main reception area.
● Le Café Boulevard is situated opposite the main reception next to the main bar.
● It has level access with carpeted flooring.
● It has tables with central columns and also a couple that have legs at either end.
● Seating is mixed – some with arms and some without. All chairs have upright backs.
● Tables service is available upon request.
● Evenly distributed lights are on when required as natural light does come through via the conservatory roof.
● We are able to cater for varying dietary needs, please advise staff on booking.
● There is a bar situated opposite reception next to Le Café Boulevard above.
● It has level access with carpeted flooring. It also has a ceramic non-slip tiled walkway down the centre of the main bar area.
● The bar seating area is to the left of the bar, it also has tall chairs at either end.
● There are leather arm chairs in the main bar area all of the same height, although the seating area in the café is also available as described above.
● Lighting is mainly natural from the large conservatory roof but there are also lights situated in darker areas of the bar area.
● The restaurant is situated on the ground floor to the right of reception.
● There is a desk at the entrance to the restaurant where you will be greeted by the restaurant manager who will seat you at your table.
● The restaurant is table service for evening meals and a buffet for breakfast. Sunday lunchtimes we do a carvery.
● Menus are available in large print and staff will take you through the menu and choices for your meal.
● Lighting is mainly natural during the day whilst for the evening meal lighting is low level. Lighting can be increased for certain tables if required.
● We are able to cater for varying dietary needs, please advise staff on booking.
Laundry
● Laundry service and dry cleaning is available Monday to Friday. Bags are available in bedrooms with pricelists and laundry forms, which are to be completed and left in reception by 9am each morning. All laundry will be returned same day by 5pm.
Shop
● We have a cabinet situated near reception, which contains gifts for sale. These can be purchased through reception. A selection of toiletries is also available through reception. Clothes for the leisure facilities can be purchased from the leisure reception.
Leisure Facilities – The Fitness Centre
● I ndoor heated 12 metre swimming pool with direct garden access.
●Hi-tech air-conditioned gymnasium with a range of cardio-vascular equipment and plasma televisions showing Sky programmes.
●Fitness testing and gym programmes services available with our qualified staff.
●Fully equipped changing rooms and disabled facility.
●Access is via the Garden Lounge, which with glass roof and under floor heating can provide a light, airy and relaxing environment throughout the year.
●Opening times:- 7.00am until 9.30pm (last entry 9.00pm)
●Children under 16 years of age are not allowed in the Gymnasium.
●The Fitness Centre facilities are available for non-residents and the club offers a variety of memberships, not only for single, joint or group, but also for specific areas depending on individual needs.
The Health Spa and The Aromatherapy Centre
● Health Spa - 7.30am until 9.00pm (last entry 8.30pm )
●No alcohol is permitted in The Spa.
●Children under 16 years of age are not allowed in the Health Spa.
●Appointment times are approximate and include consultations.
●A patch test is required before any eyelash/eyebrow tint.
●Short notice cancellation charge of 50% will be made.
●Beauty products and swimwear items available to purchase from the Health Spa.
● The Health Spa Facilities are also available for non-residents and the club offers a variety of memberships. Contact the Health Spa direct on 01202 753326 or by email healthspa@durleyhall.co.uk.
Conference & Meeting rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment
● We have 5 main conference rooms on the first floor. All of which have no stairs.
● Lighting is even but can be dimmed by individual conference organisers by sections.
● Please notify our sales co-ordinators in advance if any special requirements are needed so that we can accommodate everyone’s needs where possible.
● There are toilets located near to every conference room although the disabled toilet is located by reception.
Bedrooms
● There are 77 bedrooms, most of which are serviced by a lift in the main part of the hotel whereas the other rooms are only accessible by stairs. Please inform reservations upon booking should you have any special requests.
● We have 2 rooms, which are wheelchair accessible. We also have a hire company who loan us any equipment, which may be needed during your stay. Please inform reception at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.
● The furniture is flexible in the room and items can be moved or removed on request.
Additional Information
● If you require any assistance during your stay please contact reception. The Duty Manager can also be contacted via reception.
● We have a set evacuation procedure for basic information – Alarm bells are a continuous alarm. Someone will come to your room and assist with evacuation if we have you listed as disabled. DO NOT use the hotel lift when fire alarms are ringing.
● There is good network coverage for mobile phones within the hotel and all networks work.

● WIFI is available in our main bar area. It is also available in our function rooms on request.
